Everything You Need to Know About London Underground
I really love this site... It has a page that refreshes every five minutes with handy updates such as the following: "Tube Service Disruption: BAKERLOO LINE
The Bakerloo Line has possible delays in both directions.
This is due to signal failure at Piccadilly Circus Station".
For some reason I find it strangely fascinating to just sit here and watch as it scrolls on through....
The Mirror
London
Billed as the world's number one internet site for London, if you are planning a visit to this great city this would be a good site to see!
Birmingham
Rather Good
I have been told that I have a rather odd sense of humour. If you do too, you might really enjoy this site. Be forewarned that some people might find some of the content mildly (or extremely) offensive. Personally, I am keen on the Kitten Videos which I think are an absolute scream. Viking Kittens, Fear the Kittens, Northern Kittens, Punk Kittens. What can I say. I think The League of Gentlemen is a hoot too. Speaking of which.....
The League of Gentlmen
"Are you local?" Visit Roystan Vasey and you will never leave. This is one of the more bizarre programs I have ever seen and like Rather Good, not for everyone. My sister does not find it at all amusing, but apparently her fiancee finds it rather funny, bless him. My flatmate and I often quote lines from this program to poor, unsuspecting folks, but from what we understand, this has also led to The League finding more fans in the US. Well, sort of, a few here and there, but this better than none! The first season is available in the US on DVD, but that is it, I am still praying that following series will also be released in this region as well. I reckon this must mean I am "coveting the precious things of the shop".
Monty Python
But of course! I had a huge crush on Eric Idle when I was a young girl, come to think of it, I suppose I still do. Bloody brilliant, the lot of them! Suss Terry Jones' Medieval Lives on the History Channel in the US. It is a wonderful program, one that both my boys and I really enjoy watching! In the meantime, click on the link to find the answer to the following question: "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?"
Phil Rickman
I have to get a mention for one of my Favourite authors here as well. I am quite keen on Mystery books and Mr. Rickman's Merrily Watkins books are among the best. His other books such as The Chalice and The Man In The Moss are also wonderful. Be forewarned, not all of his books are readily available in the US (such as the ones he penned under the name Will Kingdom). Yet they are worth searching out! And highly addictive.
